Jori Gonzales is a singer, actress and vocal coach currently based out of Northern California. Her first exposure to music and musical theatre was through her mother and grandfather. Both were accomplished pianists and her mother taught piano from their home; hence, music was a part of Jori’s life from the very beginning. In addition, Jori grew up watching all of the Hollywood musical classics as well as all the Disney animated and live-action films, which, greatly shaped her love of the musical stage.
As a graduate of California State University, Sacramento (with a Bachelor of Music in voice), Jori has worked many seasons with the Sacramento Opera and Philharmonics, appearing in various concerts and operas including: Verdi's Il Trovatore, Rigoletto and La Traviata, Donizetti's L'elisir d'amore, Puccini's La Bohème and Gilbert & Sullivan's The Pirates of Penzance.
In addition to opera, Jori has performed in the greater Sacramento area in musical theatre for many years. Several favorite credits include: The Hunchback of Notre Dame (Esmeralda), Mary Poppins (Mary Poppins), My Fair Lady (Eliza Doolittle), Camelot (Guenevere), Man of La Mancha (Aldonza), Shrek: The Musical (Princess Fiona), Into the Woods (Cinderella), Carousel (Julie Jordan), Brigadoon (Fiona), A Chorus Line (Sheila) and How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying (Rosemary).
When not performing, Jori enjoys working-out at Orangetheory Fitness, marathon running, going to Disneyland, spending time with her husband, Randy, and hanging out with the pups - Rider, Zoe and Koda!
